He has more than 25 years of hands-on experience working with businesses in the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and the UK. He’s worked with companies like Coca-Cola, Allscripts, Pfizer, Wyeth, Gilead Sciences, and the US Army as those organizations underwent a major change, like merger/acquisition, business process reengineering, or business restructuring. Working with the executive teams, Harlan helped the leaders define and understand the changes and impacts to the business, helped them communicate the change, and lead their teams successfully through the change while maintaining productivity and profitability.
Harlan is a sought-after Business and Leadership Coach, working with small- to mid-sized businesses. His proven methodology has helped business owners master strategic planning, systemization, team building, time management, performance metrics, and sound financial management.
Harlan is the author of several books on management and leadership. His most recent book is BARNSTORMING: A Pilot’s Guide to Growing Your Business where he taps into his experience as a private pilot and uses analogies of flight to explain the finer points of entrepreneurship. He is working on his latest book Pilot in Command (PIC): A Pilot’s Guide to Leadership.
Harlan lives in Newnan, Georgia, where he is active in the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce and as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Newnan’s Marketing Committee.
